William Tell Leaves Crest Forest Council

His resignation became effective on April 13. Supervisor Paul Biane, in whose Second District Crest Forest lies, declared the vacancy, per the Maddy Act, the same day.
The Crest Forest Municipal Advisory Council (CFMAC) was created in 1976 by the County of San
Bernardino Board of Supervisors to review and comment on matters presented by the Board of Supervisors for consideration. The CFMAC serves the area in and around the San Bernardino
Mountain communities and neighborhoods of Crestline, Crest Forest, Valley of Enchantment,
Cedar Pines Park and Lake Gregory in the County of San Bernardino, California. The Crest Forest Municipal Advisory Council provides the community and the Board of Supervisors information concerning local needs and desires as well as plans and programs. Advisory Councils are appointed by the board of supervisors under the general powers of a Board of Supervisors to appoint necessary advisory bodies.
The Crest Forest Municipal Advisory Council is formed pursuant to California Government Code
Section 31010 and operates under the provisions of that section in accordance with the resolution
by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Bernardino forming the CFMAC.
This item will amend Resolution No. 90-169 to increase the Crest Forest Municipal Advisory Council from five members to seven members in order to enhance service to the community.
The term for the position Tell has left is set to expire on January 31, 2013.
